As many of the people now in NFTs, my journey started With Bitcoin and Altcoins. When it comes down to it where would we all be without Crypto Twitter! Countless communities and friendships have been made and even some broken. Navigating The HODL era to the BTFD era onto the NFT era and now onto the Memecoin era! We can all find shared experiences amongst ourselves and I thought it would be a fun idea to develop an NFT that Reflects shared experiences in Crypto Twitter and the so called "Trenches", that I'm sure many of us can relate too!
I created the first "Stick Frens" in 2022 on Ethereum. Essentialy towards the end of the NFT bull run. Eth was dropping and gas fees were crazy high. Eventually I decided to cheapen the barrier I would relaunch on Solana which was quickly becoming the next big chain! After recently spending much time trading in the trenches I thought it would be fitting to rebrand into Trench Frens in honor of the people Ive met and create a coin where holders get rewarded with an NFT rather than an NFT holder being given a coin that inevitably gets dumped! The partial use of the NFT royalties will help sustain MC and essentially create a deflationary memecoin which benefits everyone!

MY Creative Process

For the first time ever I picked up my ipad downloaded photoshop and started to doodle! I had no idea what I was doing I simply had a thought in my head but I'm not an artist lol. I was tired of seeing copy paste derivatives, I thought there had to be more than the 10th pasteldoodleapetoadfrenmfer! I didn't care if I couldn't draw haha I was more concerned about creating something original and that people would see that, and maybe even appreciate it! Since it was a just for fun project I even involved my kids in the very early stages of design. The stick figures are something my kids and I share oddly enough. Every morning when I would get them in the car to go to school if there was frost or morning dew I would draw a stick figure on each of their windows. Some were happy, some were crazy but it just became our thing. So I took that idea and ran with it.

I went through four redesigns that took WEEKS each time to perfect it just a little more, all while working my 9-5 and supporting my family. It went from something absolutely terrible to something I’m truly proud of and that I believe could standout!

Through this process I did what any good project did to get noticed, I created honorary pfps lol I failed to get notice aside from the occasional like but no out right support. But I am grateful because its through that process that I birthed the idea of honorary traits, a first in the NFT space making now Trench Frens just that more special!

After a few years trying to build the NFT community I thought since I haven't launched yet why not do the opposite of what other NFT's have done. Which is Drop a token to existing holders that immediately gets dumped. Instead drop a token and reward those holders that support us by minting the Trench Frens NFT free! Incentivizing further to hold by sharing revenue and royalties from the NFT sales to use to buy back and burn TFRENS supply!
